What we collect
Your equations stay on your device. Equations Calculator has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising. All calculations happen in your own browser; the equations you type are never sent to us or to anyone else.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It records things like the pages you open, roughly where you are (country or city), your type of device and browser, and how you reached the site. It does not receive the equations you type.
What is saved on your device
To make the calculator more convenient, three things are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device:
- Your colour theme (light or dark), if you choose one.
- Your angle setting (degrees or radians).
- Your recent equations (up to 8), shown under "Recent".
You can remove the recent equations at any time with the "Clear list" button, or remove everything by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) to tell new visits from returning ones. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out add-on.
Third-party services
Google Analytics, run by Google, is the only outside service. Your browser loads it from Google and sends it the visit details described above. Google handles that data under itsprivacy policy. Everything else, including the fonts, is served from this website.
Messages you send us
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive what you write and any name or email address you include. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the calculator, and we don't share it with anyone.
Children
The calculator is suitable for all ages. We don't ask anyone, including children, for personal information; the only visit data collected is the Google Analytics data described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
